COMMUNITY ACCOUNTING COMES OF AGE

For a period of seven years, accountancy services for third sector organisations were provided by the defunct local CVS under the name of DonCAS. Now, CASDon is morally supported by the South Yorkshire wide collaboration of CASs (SYCAS), and the national network of Community Accountants under the umbrella of the Charity Finance Group. it is a valuable resource in Doncaster and its environs, growing bigger, becoming better, and functionally independent.

Meshach Adelowokan

Meshach worked for many years as a finance manager and deputy managing director in the social housing sector. He also had a stint of general management when he acted up as acting managing director of a housing association in London. Before coming into social housing, he had had many years of Private sector accounting experience at the junior and middle management levels. Meshach started his own business part time in 1995 which became a full time occupation in 2001. He was later employed by Doncaster CVS to help develop DonCAS. OUR TEAM

"CASDon prepared our year end accounts on time and in accordance with statutory and Companies House requirements. Our organisation's accountancy systems have improved as a result of support from CASDon. Also, there has been an increase in the financial planning and management skills of staff. As a result of the advice and support from CASDon we are more sustainable as an organisation, as we now have the financial planning and management systems in place to ensure that we are always aware of our cash flow and budgetary control.

We would be lost without CASDon's services” Pete Beresford, Project Manager CHASE
